Will Hitachi have to give up sites in the UK, France and Germany?

The decision of the Competition & Markets Authority (CMA), the UK's competition authority, on the acquisition of Thales by Hitachi is still pending. According to the latest information, this is to be made by 6 October 2023 at the latest. It is now emerging that Hitachi Rail sites in the UK, France and Germany may be to be divested.
