Railway Diagnostic and Monitoring Conference 2023

Overview

The Railway Diagnostic and Monitoring Conference (RDMC) returned: After the event in April 2022, the conference was held again on April 20 and 21, 2023 in Lucerne, Switzerland.

The program was dedicated to current developments and experiences in the monitoring of railway vehicles. A particular focus was on the assignability of the collected data to individual assets as well as the exchange of data and insights between different stakeholders: who collects which data, to whom is it made available, who uses the data for which purposes and with which benefits? Accordingly, the topic was highly relevant for infrastructure operators as well as for transport companies and wagon owners, but also for original equipment manufacturers and maintenance companies.

The focus was not only on the technology, but above all on use cases and best practice examples - both from Europe and overseas.

The first day of the conference featured exciting presentations, a tour of SBB Wayside Train Monitoring Systems, and a networking dinner. More presentations followed on the second day of the conference.

The RDMC was held as a hybrid format: The program was slightly modified for virtual attendees.

The conference language was English.
