Start of construction for ETCS level 2 between Berlin and Leipzig

The Berlin - Leipzig line will get a new ETCS system in the next few years. In the first section Berlin - Jüterbog, construction will start at Jüterbog on 9 May 2022.

Thales and SMRT focus on data analytics in Singapore

Thales and SMRT Trains recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work together in Singapore. In the MoU was stated that digital technologies such as data analytics will be used to optimise track maintenance and operations on the metropolis' oldest Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) lines.

Alstom awarded another London Victoria Area Re-signalling Programme contract

British infrastructure operator Network Rail has awarded Alstom a £69m contract to deliver Phase 5 of the Victoria Area Re-signalling Programme, covering an area from London Victoria to Sydenham Hill, Elephant & Castle and Ravensbourne.
